Progress continues…

Thank you for your continued prayers for Rachel, she is doing quite well!

We’ve been home 1 1/2 weeks now with no medical complications, just rehabilitation testing at Valley General Hospital where she will receive the out-patient rehab.  Next week, when testing is complete, we will have a better idea how many days per week Rachel will need rehab.  Usually it is quite frequent the first few weeks after discharge (2-3 times per week), but tapers down quickly.  Rachel has also completed the testing for home schooling so we have a clear idea where to start and where we hope she’ll end up by the end of the year.

We are excited by the continued answers to prayer we see almost daily.  Please continue to pray for Rachel’s complete healing.  Her left side is still weaker than the right and she uses her left hand sparingly, only when prompted or when she absolutely needs it.  Also, please pray for her incisions to heal quickly.  They look good, but the itching is driving her crazy!  We thank God that Rachel is doing well enough that she was able to attend a friend’s birthday party this week without us parents tagging along.
