Please pray for Alexis…

I woke up this morning at 2 am, with a very warm little blanket against me.  Needless to say, Alexis was very hot!  I took her temp. and she was at 103.2 then I called the hospital as I’m instructed to do.  She then threw up, for the first time in probably 7 months!  We’ve been fortunate!

They said to bring her right in to the ER, so we did.  Austin being the amazing child that I think she is, hopped right out of bed, and got Alexis a bowl, mommy a new shirt, and ran to get Alexis her movie, to watch at the hospital.  She is thoughtful, even when she is sleeping!

Well, they put her thru 10 kinds of discomfort, to run every test that they could. She got an IV, a thorough nose sucking, a cathedar, and of course the regular exams….It is so different now that she is older!  Now, she says “No more mommy!”  and “All  DONE” ! while she is screaming.  She did very well though, and comforts very easily thru it all.  No UTI’s, but her labs showed very elevated white counts, meaning she is fighting some sort of infection.  They will be testing her blood for the next couple days, and said that we should just watch her, give her tylenol, and call them if she continues to have fevers.  This is new territory for us; it was so hard to make that middle of the night rush again, but we are so thankful to be home!  So, she’s grumpy, and we are finishing this cycle of accutane (till Tuesday) she’s warm and needs mommy. So, I better go.  Please pray that nothing serious comes from this, and that it is just a simple “virus”!  And that she bounces back soon.

Also, I have learned and talked to a new diagnosed baby who is being treated at Children’s.  The baby is 4 weeks old, her name is Shreah (Shrayah, not sure of spelling) she has neuroblastoma and is in the ICU.  Please pray for this family, and for this little sweetheart.

I’ve also posted in the past about Sarah Smith, she is 12.  Her dad just had cancerous moles removed, Sarah just had pre-cancerous moles removed & mom is being tested for breast cancer.  Their website is under a previous post.  Please pray for this family….TOO MUCH AT ONCE!  If you want to read an amazing story and so inspiring, check out Sarah’s site, and if not, please pray!  PRAY!  PRAY!

Gotta go take care of my little ones…. Thank you for reading & PRAYING!!!

God Bless you today!

    Dear Jill,

I am praying for Alexis, and for you as you care and worry for her. Also I will be praying that if it is a little virus, it will not be ’shared’ as it often is in a family. I am so sorry to hear of your midnight run! I too have had sick kids lately (it’s that time of year). Take care and know I’m thinking of you!

    Blessings to you,
    Angie
