Good, Great, Better…
I have nothing to report but a GREAT week!
We decided to reschedule her bone marrow biopsies for Monday before our appointment with our oncologist. I realized on Tuesday that if she didn’t get sedated for scans and could do it all awake that would make her not eating until around 6:30 pm. I wouldn’t like that at all!!!
She walked into that hospital both days, like a lovely young lady, and checked herself in, told them her information, never needed mommy for anything! Took deep breaths through her IV starts. What a CHAMP!
So, she did it! She drank all her contrast. Things have changed so much!
I was going thru all “the games” we have played forever to get her to drink it, finally she looked at me and said “Mom, how much more do I have to drink?”
I said “Only to this line!” She said “Okay, grabbed the cup from me and started chugging!” Handed me back the cup and said “Can we go now?”…..
She held still through all the scans! AMAZING!

and we walked out of that hospital again with gifts and hugs and smiles and feeling so blessed to be part of such an amazing facility that takes such great care of us and everyone!
The doctor sent us the results, and everything is STABLE, the tumor looks a little smaller, there is no new growth and her cancer labs came back “Normal”…
STABLE, NORMAL, SMILING, truly thankful and LIVING!!!!!
Monday will be new, sedation #45 for the princess, quick and (easy???) in the Oncology clinic, than we will meet with our Dr’s. If these bone marrow results come back clear again…..this will be our LAST scheduled bone marrows!!!!!!
Thank you for living this journey with us, thanks for the hope and prayers.
“We live, we love, we forgive and never give up; because today is a gift sent up from above, and today we remember to live and to L-O-V-E!
You can skip to the end and leave a response. Pinging is currently not allowed.

Thank you Jesus!.. Alexis, you are such a miracle, and to see how much you have grown-up over these 4yrs is such a blessing. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your “hospital times”. Watching you be so brave is really something, I know of adults that can not do what you do. God is blessing all of us each and every day with you. I Love you.

Jillian,
I am sitting here with tears of joy in my eyes. I am so very pleased that things (processes, tests, and results) went so well this time around. It is truly a blessing to all of us to witness the hand of God in Alexis’ life.
I still pray for Alexis to have complete healing, and to continue hitting all of the wonderful milestones as she grows up. My prayers include you and JB, and especially Austin (who is growing into a fine young person in her own right). It is such a joy to read on here and Facebook all the good news of each of you.
Thank you as always for sharing the story as you live it,
