Where has the time gone???

I can’t believe we are in December.

You are right, no news, is good news!

We had appointments yesterday for dental work and labs at Children’s.  Alexis was amazing, they say they have never seen a 3 year old behave so well for everything.  (they probably say that to everyone)…

On the way to the hospital, Alexis shouted with delight:

“I can’t wait to see Hector and get a poke!  How FUN!”  we all chuckled and said “Yippee!”

Isn’t it truly ALL in how we look at things?  Perspective….

She has been having low grade fevers off an on for a while, but her CBC (complete blood count) looked great.  Her Vitamin, Para-thyroid, Neuroblastoma, etc..counts are not back yet.  The doctors think her little fever and runny nose is just a viral thing.  I’m beginning to think so too.

She got three more little “fillings” on her teeth and had a cleaning, she held her mouth open for an hour, with no complaints, even the drill and all, no numbing, no problems!  We are so blessed!

We will hear from our new “team of doctors” (skeletal, bone doctors) next week with the lab results and our oncologists about her cancer counts.

Everything is Ok with Alexis as long as she has Austin’s hand…

So everything is great here at the Douglas household, just trying not to take things for granted…

God Bless you and thank you for praying for us!

You have the most amazing little girls! I love-love-LOVE the picture of Austin’s hands holding Alexis’s hand in the dental chair! What a wonderful picture of how we are to support and hold one another up when in need! Pure love.
The winter coats are wonderful, and if little Lexie isn’t “little Stella” I don’t know who is! :-)

love to all, and have a Christ-filled Christmas!

Oh how great to hear from you and that all is good. :) I doubt they say that about all 3 year olds because I know it really is Alexis and she really is a great kid. Your totally right, it is all about how we look at things, which is why Alexis loves visiting Hector. I am sure he has a great way with kids and getting what needs to get done with them in a positive and fun way. He sounds like a true blessing to Children’s Hospital. I am glad to hear things are going good. I can’t believe no numbing for the fillings, she is braver then me. Have a great Christmas if I don’t see you before then. Love Jodale

Just back from 3 weeks overseas in a third world country where I saw first hand the results of no quality medical care. Thank you JESUS that you hold each and every little one close to your heart and that you have provided all Alexis and her family will need for whatever they will be called to deal with. We rejoice in every good report and thank God for the healing to come when the report draws concern. Your family is an ongoing testimony of your faithfulness and His goodness. Blessing to you all this wonderful holiday season.

    Love, Linda

    Hello!
Just wanted to check in and see how things are going! It was so fun seeing you all last weekend; I especially loved the girl’s singing “Happy Birthday, Jesus” while we waited for the doors to the theater to open. Those two little singing nuts didn’t fall far from their momma tree. :)
Merry Christmas to you and all of your family!
    Jeanne
