What a fun 2 weeks!
We’ve had so much fun the last 2 weeks. All is good in the Douglas home!
Last weekend we attended the St Baldricks event, it was wonderful! We watched as many people shaved their heads to raise money for Childhood Cancer. Alexis felt like a princess, the wonderful woman who put on the event, made her a cape and gave her a “hero” necklace and crown! She loved it! The girls had so much fun! It was great to see the kid’s reactions to all the shaving. Some of the kids, even got to shave their dad’s heads! How fun!
Also, I got the chance to meet another family who’d child has been living with “stable” neuroblastoma for many years. I can’t wait to talk more with the mother. I haven’t met someone like us “stable” before. What amazing families and stories we got to hear that day. These children are so brave and we were so honored to be part of it! Thank you to all involved!
FRIENDS, FAMILY, FUN!!!!!- the AUCTION WAS GREAT! We had so much fun! A million thanks to my wonderful friends who made it all happen. Cara did a wonderful job pulling it all together, and I’m so grateful to all my friends, who worked, worked, gave, gave, donated, donated, prayed and prayed!
DRUM ROLL PLEASE……..OVER $ 20,000 and still counting……!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
