Thanksgiving….
SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR!
Grandma Ruth’s prayer has been answered!
Alexis is stable!
Alexis started “tippy toes” ballet & LOVES it & is excellent at it!
Alexis doesn’t have to go back to Children’s until FEBRUARY! (her next appointment and labs will be wih her next scans!) WOW!
Alexis can now get…brace yourself…IMMUNIZED! AAGH! (we don’t look forward to more shots, and potential side effects, but let’s be real, she’s never had a reaction to anything)
Austin is energetic, loves gymnastics, blows me away with her love of helping others, and now says “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!”
JB and I are better than ever, so in love with our girls and each other and so THANKFUL for the miracle we’ve been given.
It’s taken a while to post, because I’ve been busy trying to live, enjoy the lives around us, of course decorate early for Christmas, create memories, take tons of pictures and finish a project that my dear sis-n-law, Ann Marie and I’ve been working on, we’ve made 35 tutu’s and tiara sets for the little girls on the SCCA (Seattle Cancer Care Unit) at Children’s and we’ll be delivering them to the “bosses” on Monday. Having spent Christmas there, and having 2 little princesses who want to dress up constantly…we thought we would share a little “Candy Cane Hope”… I’ll never forget what Christmas was like at the hospital, and how brave and amazing our children are, and how everyone forgets: they are just like everyone else! (The picture above is of Alexis modeling the little gifts) THANK YOU ANN MARIE FOR DOING ALL OF THIS! YOU ARE A GEM!
Please pray with me that these little gifts will give someone a little “bright light” in their Christmas season. I will never forget the children and parents who shared things with us when we were there and most importantly they shared their “hope” with us! We were so thankful for them and their generosity and it meant so much coming from someone who has “been there”!
THANK YOU for praying for our little special girl(s) and for praying for our family and reading all these posts! We are thankful for you this THANKSGIVING!
