Wow, 3 posts in a week!

“Happy Birthday Great Grandma Ruth!”- Alexis

We got to sing Happy Birthday to GG Ruth on her 91st Birthday.  We gave her a mini-makeover to make her feel better.  She did like it!  She is now eating birthday cake with her 5 children as I write this. She is doing OK.

“Mothers & Daughters”

I would just like to share for a moment, I never dreamed I would have daughters with boys running so strong in both our families.  God knew just what was perfect for us with 2 wonderful princesses!

I know that when I am sick, I still want my mommy!  Aside from my husband, during this whole adventure the past 22 months, I still want my mommy!

My job in life now is to be the “mommy”, but who takes care of my mommy?

Her mommy  is losing her abilities and her mind, and is so ready to pass on to her next step in this God given journey, called life.  So who does my mommy turn to? Me, who is absorbed with my own situation.  Obviously we all need to humble ourselves and turn to God ultimately and all the time.  But on earth we have eachother!

Sorry Grammy, but I have to share: my mommy is scaring the daylights out of me!  I know just enough about hematology to be dangerous.  I know how to search the internet.  YIKES!  Don’t do that Jill!

My mother has a blood clot in her leg, and her blood thinner levels all read that her blood is too thick.

Except one problem, the rest of her body shows that her blood is TOO THIN!  She is covered in black & blue (and not just a little, unbelievable amounts!)from head to toe!  She has bleeding “break thru” marks on her arms, she continually for the past few months gets blood shot eyes, from changing her contacts.  She is having strong fatigue and pains and is always exhausted!  No one can find out what is wrong.  She is finally going to a Hematologist/Oncologist next Thursday to find out what is going on!  FINALLY!  I’ve been so eaten up by this, if I have seemed vague about my mother’s health problems, this is why.  I’m very fearful of things.

Once you’ve lived in this world, and you think life is fine, than one day it FLIPS the other way…I realize that nothing is STABLE and nothing is SECURE, only GOD!

Oncology, not where I want my mother to be!  Not now….not ever!  Please pray with me for my mom’s courage, comfort, and for the doctors for wisdom  in finding the problems.

If I would’ve known what my life held, I would’ve given up singing/ performing a long time ago, and gone to medical school, so I could make heads or tails of all these reports, labs, and issues!

Children need their mommies, whether they are 2, 4, 33, 64, or 91!  I need my mommy to be OK!

OK, enough out of me.

God bless you today, tomorrow and thank you Jesus for being with us all!
