Update 10.30.07

This is Hector, he draws blood, he drew Alexis’s blood when she was 12 weeks old, and he is still the one we go to.  She doesn’t even cry or fuss with him.  He does such a great job!  I feel sorry for his job, I feel bad for a lot of jobs at Children’s, making kids cry- not a fun job, but Oh! Thank the Lord they do what they do!

We are so lucky to live by Children’s; they do an amazing work & everyone there feels like “family” now.  I love the place.  Both the girls think it’s Disneyland, when they go there; (depends where we go for Alexis) but they love it!  I have to remind them both now, that most of the people there don’t feel so well, so don’t be so loud & happy.  Then I feel bad for telling them to not act so happy, because I’m so glad they are so happy!  Thank you Jesus that they are SO happy!

Yesterday’s appointment went wonderful!  Alexis didn’t cry for anything, not for the blood draw/ poke, weight, height, blood pressure, exam or thermometer!  She was so proud to show off her “running” skills.  Everyone there just gave her so much praise for her new skills!  She loved it!

We start the accutane this evening, she was even able to get a flu shot…yeah!  She feels crummy today, but it will help.

Her surgery/ dental work is scheduled for November 20th, and she will be getting her scans done again the week before Christmas.

The doctors were really happy about her last scans. As we know, this disease spreads at such a rapid rate, that the fact that hers has stopped and is stable is GREAT news.

Please continue to pray with me for Don & Conna & for all the children suffering & the families who have lost their loved ones.

Grandma is still having up & down days, bed-bound, and tired of “hanging in there”.  Please pray for my mother, I feel she has had so many overwhelming things to endure this last year, and I know how much I love my children, that I can’t imagine all that she is going thru.

Please pray for her, and for my grandma. I’m so thankful we live in a country that we can pray!
