Alexis, I love you! You are an inspiration to me and so many others. Every nurse that meets you gets touched by your spirit. You have amazing strength and a heart of gold.
I love watching you as you almost crawl, I love watching you squeal in delight as you move around the floor, and the way you pick up tiny objects with your fingers. I love seeing your precious smile throughout the day. I love cuddling you and nursing you and comforting you. I adore that you trust me even as I give you shots each day, and as I have to torture you with some medicines. I love that you forgive me. I love that you have strength and are so strong, that my arms ache at the end of the day from pinning you down to give you medicine.
