Great News!!!!

The doctor called…and said today we have good news!
The cancer spots on the liver are less predominant. The best news is, her main site tumor, which took up most of her abdomen area, was wrapped completely around her aorta, and wrapped around the vessels to her stomach, is SHRINKING! It is completely off of her aorta, and not around or touching any of her other vessels! Yeah!!!!!!!
That was the results from the CT scan; we have to wait till next Thursday to get the results of her MIBG scan (was re-scheduled) the bone marrow biopsy, and her hearing tests (also rescheduled for next week).
The plan right now is that on Tuesday, the tumor board meets. They will discuss with the surgeons if they want to schedule surgery, or wait till more chemo is completed. On Tuesday we go for injections, Wed for MIBG scans…Thursday we now have our hearing test in the AM, then we meet with our doctors to find out ALL results and discuss our plans, then we go right into chemotherapy. For sure we are starting back up with another round of chemo. Our doctor hopes after this next round, we can operate, then have another round, and then possibly discuss a bone marrow transplant. We still have a long process.
Don’t you think it’s about time for some good news! We sure do! We are so happy, almost in shock that it made the progress it needed to. It is not touching or attached, or surrounding any of her main vessels anymore!!!! Yes, we may get to operate it out of there! Thank you God for making a difference and using this chemo to make some progress! Thank you for the good news!
