I will call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. Show the wonder of your great love . . . Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 17:6-8

Jill-
I have been silently reading your blog for some time now, It never ceases to amaze me the power of God’s unfailing love. I know it may not feel like it, but you are such an inspiration to people. Your personality really comes thru in your writing. Alexis and your whole family have been on our prayer list for quite a while now and will remain there. I just wanted to touch base and let you know that you have some prayer partners in Montana.
Blessings to you and your family,
Corrina Barefield (Adkins)

Don and I were at the theater last night and Jim gave us Alexis’ blog site. When I first started reading all your postings, I could not hold back the tears and as I moved toward your last posting, I smiled as I realized you are a woman of wisdom, strength and courage who will be able to face anything because you have been in the throes of the worst kind of tragedy and continue to walk beside Jesus with even more determination. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for you and your family to have to deal with the illness of this precious child.
Little Alexis is so beautiful, as is Austin. You have such a beautiful family that radiates love in all your photos, and you, Jill, still have that beautiful smile that transcends to the depth of your soul.
Alexis will be in my prayers and I pray that the miracle of Christmas will visit your family and continue to heal Alexis’ little body. You are a wonderful example of Christ’s love and I know God will reward you and your family.
Blessings to you, J.B., Austin and your special Mom, Stella.

this is in response to Austine’s questions concerning satan and cancer.
the Lord God is a good Heavenly Father and every good and perfect gift comes from Him. He is the Lord who heals us. He is our Healer, our Strength, our Deliverer!
cancer is a spirit of infirmity and is not from God!!
satan came to kill, steal and destroy. but the Lord came to give us life and life more abundant.
satan brings destruction and pain. he steals our joy, our faith and our strength. he kills our vision and our hope.
but IF he succeeds even for a moment, the Lord brings restoration, healing and strength.
when the enemy comes like a flood, the Lord raises up a standard against him!
our Lord God is good and His mercy endures throughout all generations. He redeems us from destruction. He gives us peace that surpasses all understanding. He leads us beside quiet waters. He guides us by His Holy Spirit. He loves us, cares for us and watches over us.
He is our Victory!!
You do not know me but you have heard about my son Adam from my sister in laws mother. I am so sorry to hear about Alexis. She is so adorable and sweet. From one cancer family to another dealing with the same disease, we know what you are going through. The struggles, endless worry, the highs and the lowest of lows. Please know that you can contact us anytime. My email address is on Adam’s caringbridge site. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/adamjamesschmaltz
You are in our prayers and thoughts daily.

I was looking for any chat about the unfortunate elimination of Alexis Grace from American Idol, and that is how I found you. Could God use this poor girl’s exit from a singing competition to lead people to pray for little Alexis. Well, YES!
And I have and will. Blessings to you all, and may the Holy Spirit draw particularly close at this time.
As a retired professor I find it meaningful to help others who may have a child afflicted with a disease like Wilms tumor or neuroblastoma. Our own son died 4 years ago of kc. That is why I started the only support group in Michigan. I have the opportunity to correspond with families like the Douglas’s as well as with adults who are suffering. My parents told me to offer a helping hand whenever possible. Having been in education 35 years I have learned to “cope” with all kinds of people. It is my sincere hope that additional research can lead to eradication of of many diseases like cancer. In the Jewish religion a mitzvah or blessing is what I am doing. God bless Alexis,Austin, the Douglas’s.Prof.FrankFriedman,Flint,Mi.
